Description
The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District is seeking qualifications from plumbing contractors to perform private-property infiltration and inflow reduction work on residential properties throughout the District's service area. The Pipe Check Program provides financial incentives to property owners for corrective work, including repairing defective sewer laterals and eliminating other sources of clearwater infiltration and inflow. Property owners will contract directly with approved contractors for qualifying work, and the District may use the approved contractor list for other private-property infiltration and inflow projects. Qualified contractors approved by the District's Contractor Evaluation Committee will remain on the Pipe Check Approved Contractor List for five years, provided they remain in good standing. Required submission materials include the fillable contractor evaluation application, a sample certificate of insurance, a bonding capacity certification letter, and a financial statement. Staff certifications and DSPS product approvals are required only for applicants proposing CIPP work types.
