Description
The City of Bellevue is soliciting time-and-materials services, subject to a not-to-exceed limit, for general form pruning and crown cleaning of up to 168 street trees and removal of up to 12 trees in the northern portion of the central business district right-of-way. Nine trees require dead-wood pruning only, and one tree may be removed or pruned following evaluation. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, traffic control, disposal, and related services. Work must comply with current International Society of Arboriculture best management practices, ANSI A300 pruning standards, and ANSI Z133 safety standards. An ISA Certified Arborist must directly supervise the work and remain on site whenever work is performed. Traffic control plans, pedestrian accommodations, lane closures, signage, flagging, spotters, and possible uniformed police support are required as applicable. The project estimate is $220,000, and the City identifies bid, performance, and payment bonds as required. The contractor must demonstrate at least two similar public-right-of-way projects completed within the previous five years.
