Description
The Sunbury Municipal Authority is soliciting bids for the Equalization Basin Gates Upgrade at its wastewater treatment plant. The base bid includes removal and replacement of five existing aluminum slide gates at Aeration Tank T-14: two 30-by-30-inch upward-opening wall-mounted gates and three 72-by-36-inch downward-opening weir gates. Replacement assemblies must be field-verified and fabricated to match existing openings, anchor patterns, stem centerlines, and operator geometry, with aluminum frames, stainless-steel hardware, seals, operators, stems, and accessories. The work also includes unit-price replacement of up to seven additional gates at Aeration Tanks T-11 through T-13, plus minor concrete and metal fabrication, demolition protection, field adjustment, testing, and related work needed to maintain operation of the equalization basins. The project is subject to Pennsylvania public bidding and prevailing-wage requirements, and substantial completion is required by April 30, 2027.
