Description
The City of Watertown is soliciting bids for its 2027 supply of hot-mix and cold-mix asphalt, petroleum products, rock salt, calcium chloride, and magnesium chloride. The specifications also include unleaded gasoline, ethanol blends, premium gasoline, No. 1-D and No. 2-D diesel fuel, diesel blends, propane, and diesel exhaust fluid. Asphalt may be picked up or delivered; fuel may be obtained from supplier pumps or delivered to designated City facilities and equipment; and salt and related materials must be delivered as specified. Fuel suppliers must maintain facilities within the City limits and provide 24-hour service. Asphalt deliveries must generally be completed within 24 hours of order, and fuel deliveries of 250 gallons or more must generally be completed within 24 hours. The contract covers materials received during 2027 and terminates December 31, 2027. Bidders may submit prices for any or all applicable items, but all bid items will be awarded to one bidder. Sealed bids must include either a $200 certified or cashier’s check payable to the City Finance Office or a bid bond for twice the bid-security amount. The bid package must be marked “BID ENCLOSED.”
