Description
The City of Covina is seeking qualifications from an operator, vendor, or company capable of fully operating and managing a new rock-climbing facility within Covina Recreation Village. Responsibilities include daily operations; management and maintenance of the climbing wall; furnishing holds, ropes, and safety equipment; customer service; event organization and booking; daily cleaning and janitorial services; publicity and marketing; equipment and technology upkeep; program and membership management; climbing education and training; and emergency-evacuation planning. The selected organization will coordinate with the City's Parks and Recreation Department on programming, special events, marketing, and potential free or reduced-cost membership programs. The qualifications package must address the organization's interest, personnel, experience and references from at least two and no more than four similar operations, operating and maintenance approach, and estimated transition schedule. The City expects to use the RFQ to identify qualified organizations for a subsequent formal solicitation and contract negotiations.
