Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to remove approximately 3,200 gallons of degraded E85 gasoline from an unused fuel tank. The work includes lockout/tagout procedures, removal of ignition sources, tank opening, monitoring and ventilation, transfer of recoverable product, removal of reachable solids, and removal of safety devices after completion. The contractor must label and manifest the waste and transport the E85 off-site for recycling or disposal. Spill-mitigation measures are required because of fuel-spill and fire risks. Final acceptance will occur after the fuel and reachable solids are removed and the disposal or recycling process is completed. No background investigation is required, and the period of performance is November 1–30, 2026.
