Description
The University of Utah, on behalf of the Utah Education and Telehealth Network, seeks vendors to provide leased lit-fiber Ethernet WAN services, shared UETN backbone connections, Internet access, and Category One network equipment for participating schools, higher-education institutions, libraries, healthcare sites, and state-government locations. The procurement covers circuits ranging from 1 Gbps through 100 Gbps, including requests for 100 Gbps and 400 Gbps backbone interconnections, with installation and initial configuration required. Wireless service is not accepted, and dark fiber is excluded unless specifically requested. Vendors must provide technical and network information addressing fiber connectivity, Layer 2 protocols, routing, resiliency, topology, equipment, service-level commitments, and compatibility with UETN infrastructure. Proposals must include a written response to all RFP sections, applicable WAN or Internet cost spreadsheets submitted separately, Attachment F E-Rate terms, an exception/compliance summary, financial information or qualifying ISO 9001 documentation, a service-level agreement, and a relevant current WAN services contract. E-Rate-capable vendors must have a USAC-issued SPIN and maintain current FCC Form 473/SPAC certification. Multiple awards may be made on a per-location basis; WAN pricing is requested for five years plus one optional year, while Internet pricing is requested for three years plus two sequential one-year options.
