Description
This Sources Sought notice seeks information from qualified firms capable of providing professional engineering services to develop three MSC-approved TRANSALT work packages for modifications to T-ESD and ESB Class vessels. The work includes project planning, ship-check planning and execution on one T-ESD vessel and one ESB vessel, ship-check reports, engineering calculations, work items, contract guidance drawings, bills of materials, equipment cut sheets or vendor quotes, installing-activity cost estimates, weight reports, shipboard test procedures, technical manuals, spare-parts lists, and redlined selected record drawings. The identified modifications include upgrading ESB sludge-transfer pumps, modernizing engine-room bridge-crane components, and replacing starting-air compressors and receiver modules. Deliverables must comply with applicable ABS, U.S. Coast Guard, SOLAS, MARPOL, IEEE, and other specified requirements, and must be provided in formats including AutoCAD LT 2021, Microsoft Word 2016, Microsoft Excel 2016, Microsoft Project 2010, and PDF. The notice requests a capabilities package addressing company qualifications, facilities, small-business status, partnerships, worldwide or specified ship-check capability, contract-vehicle status, comments on the draft requirement, and a rough order of magnitude; the package is limited to 10 pages and must use at least 12-point font. This notice is for market research only and will not result in an award.
