Description
The U.S. Navy is seeking 20 6,000-pound-capacity, electric, low-lift, walkie-type pallet trucks with 48-inch forks for shipboard use. The trucks must be shipboard-qualified and meet detailed requirements for marine salt-air exposure, high-impact shock, electromagnetic interference and vulnerability, rain, temperature, safety, maneuverability, braking, battery performance, corrosion resistance, lifting and tie-down, diagnostics, markings, and Navy pallet compatibility. The specified configuration includes an EE safety rating, a 24-volt battery, a maximum 3.5 mph travel speed, and a 365-day delivery period from receipt of contract. The contractor must provide first-article testing and reporting, production quality-conformance testing, technical manuals, provisioning and maintenance documentation, training for Navy personnel, special tools and equipment as separately ordered, and related contract data deliverables. The requirement is firm-fixed-price, and the solicitation requests an offered model or part number and pricing that includes East Coast shipping costs to Norfolk. Quotes must be submitted electronically by email; fax, the referenced electronic contracting system, and postal mail are not accepted.
