Description
The United States Navy, through NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, is soliciting offers from small businesses to manufacture compression ferrules in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing 6397304, item 17, for use in a crucial shipboard system. The material is designated Special Emphasis Material and must undergo oxygen cleaning, testing, packaging, and labeling in accordance with MIL-STD-1330, with mercury-free processing and complete traceability. The contractor must maintain a documented quality system meeting ISO 9001 and applicable calibration requirements under ISO 10012 or ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 with ISO/IEC 17025, or approved alternate standards. Government source inspection may occur at the contractor's facility. Required certification data includes an Inspection and Test Plan, cleaning procedure or prior NAVSEA approval letter where applicable, and a Special Emphasis Certificate of Compliance. Certification data must be submitted through Wide Area Workflow for Portsmouth Naval Shipyard review and acceptance before shipment. Final delivery is due 210 days after award, and the solicitation carries a Defense Priorities and Allocations System national-defense rating.
