Description
Madison County Transit is providing advance notice of a federally funded construction rebid for the Alton Driver Relief Facility at 600 Piasa Street. The project includes an 872-square-foot addition with a driver lounge, kitchenette, mechanical/storage room, and circulation space, connected to an existing 785-square-foot building. Construction must match the existing structure and includes CMU walls, brick veneer, cast stone details, glass block windows, and a slate roof over light-gauge metal trusses. The scope also includes new parking stalls, modifications to an existing concrete and brick patio, a concrete ramp, modifications to existing mechanical space, an outdoor HVAC equipment enclosure, and installation or modification of access control and video surveillance serving the addition and adjacent bus station structure.
