Description
The University of Minnesota is seeking a qualified contractor to provide asbestos air monitoring services for the St. Paul Campus Center abatement project. The scope includes Minnesota Department of Health-required indoor air-monitoring sample collection and on-site analysis, daily inspection of enclosure integrity, analysis of abatement workers' personal exposure samples, visual inspections before encapsulation, bulk sampling of suspect materials, documentation of contaminated soil quantities, daily electronic logs and reports, and final air-monitoring and bulk-sampling reports. The firm must be licensed as a Minnesota asbestos abatement contractor and accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association for asbestos air-sample analysis. Proposed personnel must hold applicable Minnesota Department of Health asbestos supervisor and inspector certifications, current Asbestos Analytical Registry credentials, and required air-sampling training. Pricing must include hourly rates, weekly expenses, and total project costs based on 16 weeks of work. Responses must be submitted electronically through the designated bidding system by the hard close; late or erroneous submissions will be rejected. The solicitation prohibits respondents from contacting the identified department during the procurement process and directs questions through the system's Questions Tab.
