Description
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is soliciting statements of qualifications from licensed general contractors to provide construction management at risk services for Project 1178. The project includes an approximately 31,000-square-foot laboratory expansion with histopathology, immunohistochemistry, aquaculture, clinical pathology, parasitology, toxicology, BSL-2 and BSL-3-capable spaces, offices, storage, utilities, loading and receiving areas, site development, landscaping, exterior improvements, and parking. The existing 1950s facility will be demolished after the expansion is completed. The scope also includes a new approximately 5,000-square-foot pre-engineered metal maintenance shop with offices, workshop, restrooms, kitchenette, conference space, and secure storage, followed by demolition of the existing shop. The selected construction manager will provide preconstruction design review, value engineering, constructability and market analysis, cost estimating, scheduling, guaranteed maximum price development, competitive subcontracting, project management, quality control, permitting, bonding, construction oversight, and closeout services. Respondents must submit an interest letter, completed contractor experience and financial questionnaire, reference letters, relevant CM-at-risk project experience, proposed staff resumes and organization, contractor license documentation, and a description of project management systems, along with the required acknowledgment and certification forms.
