Description
The City of Yorba Linda is soliciting a construction contractor for a public works lighting retrofit at the Yorba Linda Community Center, including attached exterior patios. The work includes disconnecting, removing, handling, documenting, and disposing of existing light fixtures and controls; furnishing and installing new LED fixtures; replacing or providing emergency battery equipment where applicable; and installing occupancy sensors, wall controls, dimming equipment, and networked lighting-control components. The design includes indoor and outdoor fixtures, RGBW color-changing fixtures, nLight-enabled controls, and related wiring, mounting hardware, programming, commissioning, and startup. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, coordination, field verification, hazardous-material handling associated with removed fixtures, and as-built documentation for emergency fixtures. Work may be phased around community-center activities and must generally occur during normal business hours unless otherwise approved. The solicitation requires a California Class A or B contractor's license, prevailing-wage compliance, a bid guarantee of at least 10 percent, and references for at least three similar public-agency projects completed within the past two years.
