Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research on providers capable of analyzing, monitoring, and reporting laboratory and pathology tests for patient specimens. The anticipated service requires STAT testing 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays; STAT results must be reported within two hours after specimen delivery. Routine results are to be provided as soon as possible. Results are reported by phone and fax, with original reports to follow by mail or courier. The VA handles specimen collection, preparation, preservation, and delivery, except that patients deliver semen-analysis specimens to the contractor’s location. The contractor must hold a New York State Department of Health Clinical Laboratory Permit, a CLIA license, and CAP accreditation. This is a special notice for market research and a potential sole-source action, not a request for proposals; respondents should demonstrate relevant capability and experience and provide business and contact details. The notice states that no subcontracting opportunity is anticipated.
