Description
The Incorporated Village of Hempstead is soliciting sealed physical bids for Phase I site work at the Clinton Street Water Plant in connection with advanced oxidation process treatment. The scope includes approximately 775 linear feet of cement-lined ductile iron water main in multiple sizes, ductile iron fittings, gate valves, a hydrant, chlorination, water-main connections and blow-off work, trench compaction, and a concrete apron and curb cut. Additional work includes storm sewer relocation, storm-water pollution prevention installation and maintenance, asphalt and soil stripping, disposal of unsuitable materials, soil placement and compaction, recycled concrete aggregate restoration, and construction of a chain-link double-panel sliding gate. The work must be completed within 210 consecutive calendar days after the notice to proceed. Bidders must submit the prescribed bid forms, provide a bid security of at least 5% of the base bid, and include the required sealed subcontractor list where applicable. The posting also identifies contractor licensing, insurance, and bonding requirements, and states that questions are submitted online.
