Description
The City of Rocky Mount is seeking a preferred manufacturer or supplier for CCA-treated southern pine distribution poles in specified lengths and classes. Poles must comply with applicable ANSI, American Wood Protection Association, and Rural Utilities Service requirements, including specified sweep, branding, preservative treatment, moisture content, retention, penetration, framing, and independent inspection requirements. Estimated quantities total 724 poles across the listed sizes and classes, with purchases made as needed and no minimum purchase requirement. The contract requires firm pricing for delivery within 30 days and expedited delivery from vendor stock within five days. Pricing must include delivery to Rocky Mount, unloading, and applicable transportation costs. Vendors must meet utility-focused prequalification requirements, maintain stocking capacity, provide authorized manufacturer representatives and emergency availability, submit schedules for standard and expedited pricing, and provide organizational information, references, prequalification responses, service features, and a signed proposal checklist. A 5% bid deposit or qualifying bid bond is required. The initial contract term is October 26, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with two one-year renewal options.
