Description
The U.S. Army is hosting an industry day to provide an overview of the Next Generation Short Range Interceptor (NGSRI) Alternate Interceptor Demonstration and identify prospective sources. The target audience is vendors with production-ready, soldier-portable, fire-and-forget surface-to-air missile systems capable of defeating rotary-wing, fixed-wing, and Group 2/3 unmanned aircraft system threats, with backward compatibility with legacy Stinger platforms such as SGT STOUT and the Marine Air Defense Integrated System. Attendance is voluntary and is not a prerequisite for participating in any subsequent procurement. The Army plans to conduct a demonstration in Spring 2027, and a successful demonstration may lead to a future missile procurement award. The industry day includes an NGSRI overview, panel discussion and question-and-answer session, closing remarks, and optional one-on-one breakouts requiring preregistration. Attendance is limited to three representatives per organization, and each attendee must present a Common Access Card, driver's license, or passport.
