Description
NASA Johnson Space Center plans to procure end-to-end services for a commercially owned and operated Low Earth Orbit destination system. The contractor or contractors will design, build, and operate the system and perform development, certification, manufacturing, testing, qualification, production, vehicle transportation, and operational activities. The scope also includes cargo and crew missions and utilization activities after certification. This is a presolicitation notice for an anticipated Request for Proposal; the solicitation is expected to be released at the end of September 2026, with offers due 60 days after release. The notice states that the acquisition will not use the commercial-product or commercial-service procedures under FAR Part 12.
