Description
The contractor will provide non-personal services for portable fire extinguishers, including annual inspections, testing, hydrostatic testing, six-year maintenance, refilling of ABC and Halotron extinguishers, maintenance of Class K and Class D extinguishers, and replacement of extinguishers identified as needing replacement. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation, materials, supplies, parts, and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with UFC 3-600-01, NFPA 10, the Performance Work Statement, and manufacturer specifications. Estimated bid-schedule quantities include 1,000 annual inspections and hydrostatic tests, 150 six-year maintenance/refill services, 60 ABC extinguisher replacements, two Class K six-year maintenance services, and two 30-pound Class D six-year maintenance services. The contractor must report extinguisher issues within one business day, perform work Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. excluding federal holidays, and provide appropriately licensed, trained, and certified personnel. The contract period is five years, with a base year and four option years; the government is obligated only for authorized purchases made under the BPA.
