Description
The City of Chattanooga is soliciting unit-price contractors to perform job-requested demolition and disposal services for public works. The scope includes masonry and wood-frame structures, trailers and mobile homes, accessory structures, retaining walls, covered porches, below-grade areas and pools, excess asphalt and concrete, debris and overgrowth, backfill, and structures above two stories. The contract also includes emergency demolition requiring rapid mobilization, as well as conditional or negotiated services such as asbestos and lead-paint testing, shoring, environmental and structural design, tree clearing, underground tank removal, and other site-specific support. Contractors must provide labor, supervision, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, permits, and related services. The City intends to make up to three awards, with work assignments distributed among awardees based on factors including price, timeliness, responsiveness, and quality. The contract is subject to annual renewal, and the contract term exceeds four years.
