Description
The Lake Charles Harbor and Terminal District is soliciting bids for construction repairs at Bulk Terminal No. 1. The work includes repairs to the container/truck loading tower foundation, replacement of BC-14 truss supports at the head and tail, hopper-support coating, rail-loading tower floor replacement, and rail-loading tower framing refurbishment. The project includes demolition, new and repaired structural steel framing, steel bar grating, checkered floor plate, concrete repair, access and scaffold erection, abrasive blasting and cleaning, protective coating and recoating, engineering inspection, and related labor, materials, equipment, and incidental work. Bidders must submit the required Louisiana Uniform Public Work Bid Form and unit-price information where applicable, bid security, and the listed bid certifications and authorization documents. The estimated base bid is $446,000; the bid bond is 5 percent of the bid, and successful bidders must provide payment and performance bonds each equal to 100 percent of the contract amount.
