Description
This is a Sources Sought notice for market research, not a request for quotation. The U.S. Coast Guard is identifying sources capable of performing dry-dock repairs on the USCGC SANGAMON, a 65-foot-class river buoy tender, and its barge. The anticipated work includes hull and underwater-body inspection, ultrasonic testing and preservation; repairs and maintenance to propulsion shafts, seals, bearings, propellers, rudders, keel coolers, tanks, sea strainers, spuds, cranes, and other vessel systems; steel plating and weld repairs; fire-protection modifications; and sea-trial support. The listed work is tentative and not exhaustive. The notice requests company and capability information, business-size information, a statement of intent to bid as the prime contractor, and applicable small-business certification documentation. Responses are for market research only and do not constitute a bid or quote. The anticipated future procurement is a firm-fixed-price contract, subject to availability of funds; a request for quotes is anticipated around December 7, 2026.
