Description
The Roslyn Garbage District is soliciting sealed bids for the collection and disposition of garbage, rubbish, garden refuse, ashes, and all recyclables. The contract is a lump-sum, two-year engagement beginning January 1, 2027, and ending December 31, 2028, with monthly payments; conditional bids will not be accepted. Bidders must submit the original Roslyn Garbage District proposal. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond equal to 100% of the contract amount and maintain workers' compensation, public liability, and property damage insurance totaling $2,000,000, naming the contractor, the Town of North Hempstead, and the Commissioners of the Roslyn Garbage District as insured. A certified check equal to 10% of the total bid price is required as bid security.
