Description
The Bureau of Land Management requires removal, disposal, and replacement of four Armstrong 3X2X8 43030 heating and cooling pumps with 3-horsepower, three-phase motors, along with five variable frequency drives: four for the pump motors and one for a 40-horsepower air-handling-unit motor. The contractor must furnish labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, and incidentals; provide compatible inverter-duty motors and VFDs; and perform startup, leak detection, alignment verification, and disposal of removed equipment. The work also includes integration and reprogramming of the existing Johnson Controls Metasys building automation system by certified Johnson Controls technicians, certified third-party testing and balancing of affected systems, water-treatment verification and recommendations, and preparation of equipment submittals, TAB and Metasys reports, safety and fire plans, construction schedules, quality-control and leak-detection reports, operations and maintenance manuals, training videos, and daily records. Contractors must hold transferable plumbing and electrical journeyman licenses, provide at least three similar projects completed within the past five years, and identify qualified key personnel and subcontractors. The anticipated award is a single firm-fixed-price contract with a 210-day period of performance.
