Description
The City seeks a qualified veterinary provider to deliver as-needed emergency care for sick, injured, and compromised animals when the animal services department's internal capabilities are insufficient. Required services include emergency intake and triage, stabilization and pain management, diagnostic laboratory testing and imaging, emergency surgery, post-operative care, short-term hospitalization, and continuous critical care. The provider must maintain appropriately licensed veterinary staff and the facilities, equipment, and operational capacity to provide these services around the clock, with prompt reporting and complete electronic medical records for each case. The provider's facility must be within a maximum 50-mile driving radius of the Dallas Animal Services Shelter. The agreement is an ID/IQ service price agreement with a three-year initial term and two optional one-year renewals. Proposals are evaluated on facility readiness and operational capacity, cost, DRIVE-related criteria, and local preference.
