The City of Worcester is requesting bids for a turnkey security system upgrade at the New Citizens Center. This project includes the purchase and installation of an access control system, a surveillance camera system, and 102 new CAT6 low voltage data drops. The scope of work encompasses all necessary hardware, software licensing, wiring, terminations, testing, labeling, and integration to deliver a complete, functional deployment. The installation will involve 25 new Category 6 (CAT6) UTP wiring drops for security cameras and door controllers, along with the installation of 21 IP cameras, 4 door controllers, and 5 card access readers. The project also includes the installation of 102 new CAT6 UTP wiring drops for general network connectivity. Specific hardware and software are to be provided by AXIS for cameras and Genetec for access control and surveillance software, with approved equivalents considered. All work must be completed within 90 days of the order receipt. A walkthrough is scheduled for June 25, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the New Citizens Center, located at 1407A Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603. Vendors are required to RSVP for the walkthrough via email.
