Description
The Town of Granby is soliciting separate bids for four contracts covering general construction, plumbing and gas fitting, heating, ventilating and air conditioning, and electrical wiring and illuminating fixtures. The project involves interior renovation of an existing municipal community center following asbestos abatement, including interior fit-out and finishes, accessibility and code upgrades, warming kitchen construction, plumbing and fire-suppression modifications, HVAC replacement, and electrical, lighting, and fire-alarm work. Bids must include bid security equal to 5% of the total base bid. Successful bidders must provide performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract sum. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the New York State Department of Labor, and bidders must submit a Certificate of Registration with their bids. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site walk-through is required; firms not represented at the conference will not be eligible to bid.
