Description
The University of Alabama is requesting qualifications from architectural and engineering firms or teams for an approximately 110,000-gross-square-foot addition to its University Medical Center. The facility will provide classrooms, teaching and research laboratories, faculty and staff offices, student study and collaboration spaces, and clinical treatment and examination areas supporting Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Occupational Therapy, and Master of Science in Athletic Training programs. The selected A/E firm will provide architectural and engineering design services consistent with University design standards, Alabama Division of Construction Management standards, the State Building Code, and other applicable codes. Responses will be evaluated based on qualifications, experience with similar A/E projects within the past 10 years, project innovation, and related institutional experience. The submission must address the firm's qualifications, proposed team, representative projects, and proposed innovations.
