Description
The Tuscaloosa Housing Authority is establishing an open, pre-approved roster of qualified, licensed, and insured law firms or independent attorneys to provide outside legal counsel on an as-needed basis. Potential assignments include serving as general counsel; handling personnel matters, evictions, collections, and other legal claims; interpreting local, state, and federal regulations; liaising with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and coordinating with specialized legal counsel. Respondents must demonstrate relevant experience and capacity, the ability to perform at least one potential scope of service, and client references. The response must be organized into four PDF folders: Firm, Experience & Capacity, Ability, and Required Forms. Required forms include HUD Forms 5369-B, 5369-C, and 5370-C, a Form of Non-Collusive Affidavit, the THA Certification of Non-Discrimination, and Form W-9. The selected firms will be placed on a roster, but the Authority does not guarantee that any work will result from inclusion.
