Description
The City of Frisco is soliciting bids for the turnkey replacement of approximately 90 AC irrigation controllers with Hunter ACC2 controllers or approved equivalents. The work includes removing existing Motorola controllers, pedestals, concrete foundations, and ARAD flow meters; installing new controllers, metal pedestals, concrete foundations, conduit connections, master valves, flow-sync devices, and irrigation boxes; reconnecting irrigation wiring; and testing all irrigation zones. The contractor must also perform excavation, backfilling, sod replacement, disposal, relocation of retired units, site cleanup, public-safety barricading, and repair of damaged private property. The project requires a one-year parts-and-labor warranty, prevailing-wage compliance, a City right-of-way permit, utility locates, project scheduling, and specified submittals. The estimated project budget is not to exceed $1,000,000, and work is expected to begin after an estimated December 1, 2026 notice to proceed and finish before the spring 2027 irrigation season.
