Description
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks one new, brand-name-only Getinge 9125E cart washer-disinfector for Sterile Processing Service. Amendment A0001 confirms that Attachment A governs the required configuration: an all-electric, inclined-door, pass-through unit with a performance dryer, deionized-water valve, water docking for wash carts, booster and process tanks, detergent and flowmeter pumps, drain cooling, USB storage, air conditioning in the electrical enclosure, and an installation kit for chilled water, hot water, and deionized water. The requirement also includes an 80 kVA 480V/400V transformer and a 1300 instrument wash cart with integral spray arms. The unit must be compatible with the existing Getinge Chemical Dosing Management System, and Attachment B is to be disregarded. A Small Business Administration class waiver permits qualified nonmanufacturers to supply the Getinge product. The contractor must provide a turnkey, in-person installation, including demolition, containment, and disposal of the existing cart washer; infection-control mobilization; receiving and unloading; infection-control forklift services; mounting and installation; custom trim; plumbing and final connections; setup, calibration, and testing; and coordination with Biomedical, Engineering, and Facility Management personnel. The equipment must be new, not refurbished, and meet electrical, utility, safety, environmental, and infection-control requirements. The Government will consider an extended delivery period because of manufacturer lead times. Quotes will be evaluated using a lowest-price technically acceptable process.
