Description
Montrose County seeks a qualified contractor to remove the existing B-117 Spring Creek Road Bridge and construct a new prestressed concrete slab bridge on concrete spread footings and abutments. The scope includes roadway realignment and widening, drainage improvements, riprap scour protection, a cased domestic waterline crossing, traffic control, demolition, grading, paving, barriers, striping, and related work. The project requires a mandatory pre-bid meeting, five percent bid security, evidence of five similar bridge projects completed within the last five years, and submission of the county bid forms, bid schedule, addenda acknowledgment, and Form W-9. The successful bidder must provide full-amount performance, payment, and materials bonds and required insurance before proceeding. Canal-related construction is limited to the November 15, 2026, through February 28, 2027, dewatered canal window, and all work must be completed by February 28, 2027, according to the Invitation to Bid.
