Description
St. Tammany Parish Government is soliciting a contractor for the LA-22 Beautification Project. Work includes removing dead plantings, underbrush, trees, stumps, vines, and certain fence remnants; clearing and mechanically or chemically mulching vegetation; protecting utilities, drainage infrastructure, fences, and traffic; and installing new landscape materials, including Seabreeze bamboo, wildflowers, crape myrtles, vitex, and George Taber azaleas. The project is divided into a base bid and two landscape alternates, with quantities and limits shown in the drawings. Addendum 1 confirms that Bambusa malingensis in three-gallon pots may be 2–3 feet tall, rather than the originally indicated 5–6 feet, and confirms the October 14, 2026 bid due date. The base bid has a stated contract time of 60 calendar days, with an additional 30 calendar days for each accepted alternate. Only licensed and insured landscape contractors may perform the work, and tree removal must be performed by licensed arborists or tree professionals. A 5% bid guarantee is required. The solicitation requires electronic acknowledgment of addenda and an electronic submission through Bid Express, while hardcopy bids require the Louisiana Uniform Public Work Bid Form, applicable unit-price form, bid security, and written evidence of signing authority.
