Description
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is soliciting bids for a one-year supply of automotive and equipment batteries for use by its departments and Fleet Management. The solicitation lists multiple battery group sizes and performance requirements, including cold-cranking amps and reserve capacity, and also allows requests for AGM and specialty equipment batteries. Quantities are estimates, purchase orders will be issued as needed, and the awarded supplier's dealer price list will become part of the contract at the offered discount. Batteries must be first-grade, first-line products meeting or exceeding applicable equipment-manufacturer specifications, with complete brand and specification data submitted with the bid. The supplier must maintain sufficient stock, provide deliveries or installations within three working days, respond to emergency out-of-service orders within 24 hours, collect available core batteries at delivery, and provide at least a one-year replacement warranty. Prices must remain firm for the contract term, subject to the stated manufacturer-price-increase provisions.
