Description
Mercer County seeks bids for mold remediation in the courthouse’s old maintenance shop. Work includes isolating the shop with plastic sheeting; removing and disposing of the drop ceiling and wall materials on the north, east, and west walls; protecting the basement carpet during material removal; testing exposed walls for mold; treating and sealing the existing brick; and painting the brick white. The contractor is responsible for haul-away and disposal, and for any testing or permits needed to perform the work. Bidders must provide a total project price and company profile, including the firm’s organization date, employee count, and information and experience for key personnel. Bids must include descriptive literature, proof of specified insurance, a bid bond of at least 5% of the total bid, and a non-collusion affidavit. The price schedule must be printed on light blue paper and placed on top of the proposal package. The successful bidder must provide performance and labor and materialmen’s bonds.
