Description
West Branch Local School District seeks installation of an approximately 600-foot, six-strand single-mode fiber connection between its Wellness Center and Stadium Press Box. The work includes installing and terminating the fiber, providing connectors and SFPs for 10 Gbps transmission, and supplying and installing a 12U rack, fiber splice panel, 24-port Cat 6 passthrough patch panel, 750-watt battery backup, and comparable 48-port full-PoE+ switch. The district will provide two 10 GB fiber patch cables. Equipment must be new and include a three-year manufacturer warranty with next-day replacement and software updates. The vendor must provide all labor, equipment, and materials needed to make the installation fully functional, and complete the work within six months of the purchase order. Installation is to occur outside school hours unless otherwise arranged. Proposals must identify the manufacturer, part number/SKU, and unit cost for each proposed item; include two current or previous fiber-installation clients with contact details; and provide vendor background and required E-Rate SPIN information. Equivalent equipment requires documentation demonstrating compatibility with the existing network. A site visit is required before the district accepts a proposal, and bidders must provide proof of meeting minimum insurance requirements.
