Giles County is soliciting proposals from qualified professional engineering consulting firms to design repairs and improvements to the electrical, water distribution, and sewage collection systems at Glen Lyn Park and Campground following flood damage from Hurricane Helene. The scope includes preparation of sketches, surveys, and construction drawings in electronic format compatible with AutoCAD LT 2022, as well as traditional hard-copy or reproducible deliverables. The selected firm will also provide assistance with bidding and construction administration in accordance with federal guidelines. Proposals must describe the firm's approach and schedule, organization, relevant experience, project team and subcontractors, staff availability, references, compensation method, and applicable insurance coverage. The proposal is limited to 40 pages excluding appendices, and no cost or man-hour estimates may be included in the initial proposal.
