Description
The West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation, on behalf of Stevens Correctional Center and Jail, is soliciting a lump-sum quotation for construction services. The project includes installing approximately 12-foot galvanized chain-link perimeter fencing around two existing metal buildings, connecting the new fencing to existing fencing and block walls, installing one pedestrian gate and two vehicle gates, and adding 30-inch super maze razor wire in horizontal and vertical configurations. The contractor must replace two existing HySecurity gate operators, furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, incidental work, permits, and required submittals, and complete the work within 60 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed. The solicitation requires a mandatory pre-bid meeting, a signed agency pricing page, a five-percent bid bond for contracts exceeding $50,000, and compliance with facility security, licensing, insurance, background-check, and construction requirements. The work includes product data, shop drawings, equipment testing and commissioning reports, and other project closeout documentation.
