Description
Atlantic County Youth Services Commission is soliciting proposals for a gun violence prevention program funded through the State/Community Partnership Grant. The program will serve Atlantic County youth ages 14–17 who have been sentenced by Juvenile Court to probation for charges involving weapons. Required services include an initial youth and family needs assessment, weekly group counseling using an evidence-based curriculum, family engagement, workshops, speakers, mentoring, mediation services, activities and incentives, and referrals to community-based mentoring, mediation, and employment programs. The program must aim to reduce new charges, weapon use, probation involvement, and recidivism while coordinating with courts, probation-related stakeholders, community organizations, and families. The proposal must include a one-page program summary, detailed line-item budget and narrative, organizational history, a program narrative of no more than 10 pages, levels and units of service for calendar year 2027, collaboration/support information, letters of support, and specified organizational, policy, governance, and audit attachments. The program period is January 1 through December 31, 2027, with the possibility of three additional one-year renewals subject to funding, performance, and County discretion. One program will be funded, and the stated funding allocation is $50,000. Services must be capable of continuing through secure online delivery when face-to-face delivery is not possible.
