The University of Alabama is soliciting sealed bid proposals for the construction of the Tutwiler Energy Plant Expansion, UA Project # D782-26-4168. General Contractors and Prime Mechanical Contractors are required to prequalify prior to bidding or performing work. Prequalification submissions must be received by August 11, 2026. A mandatory pre-bid conference for General Contractors will be held on August 25, 2026. Preliminary drawings and specifications are available for examination starting July 27, 2026, and final plans and contract documents will be available starting August 25, 2026. Bids are due September 8, 2026.
