Description
Lake County seeks one or more Florida-licensed professional engineering firms to provide on-call services for county-owned bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation structures through individually authorized task work orders. Services may include structural inspections and evaluations; load ratings; repair, rehabilitation, replacement, and bridge design; engineering reports, plans, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates; permitting; geotechnical, hydraulic, survey, and nondestructive testing support; construction administration; asset management; resiliency and scour analysis; grant support; and emergency response. Emergency response requirements include a telephone response within two hours, field response within eight hours, and a preliminary report within 24 hours, with 24/7 response capability. The county anticipates a one-year initial term with two optional two-year renewals. Respondents must provide at least three similar projects completed within the past five years. The solicitation evaluates qualifications, team composition, comparable experience, capacity, understanding, and approach; shortlisted firms may be invited to make a presentation. The county may make multiple awards. The scope is for multiple future projects on an as-needed basis, and there is no guaranteed minimum workload.
