Description
Lake County is soliciting bids for construction improvements along approximately 7.2 miles of CR 565/Villa City Road, from north of State Road 50 to south of U.S. 27. Work includes roadway widening with shoulders, milling and resurfacing, ground-in rumble strips and pavement markings, curve safety improvements including flashing beacons, guardrail work, drainage modifications, and related traffic control and utility coordination. The project is divided into a base bid and two alternates; bidders must be FDOT-prequalified in flexible paving. The bid requires a guarantee equal to 5% of the base bid, and the selected contractor must provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount.
