Description
The U.S. Geological Survey is conducting market research for a Landsat 10 tri-band antenna system with S-band transmit and receive capability and X-band and Ka-band receive capability. The requirement includes a modified commercial-off-the-shelf antenna and associated electronics, a weather-protective radome, an antenna boresight or collimation tower, civil works, installation, site acceptance testing, system integration, and a UPS capable of operating the antenna for at least 30 minutes after facility power interruption to support a safe pass completion and graceful shutdown. The work also includes an initial one-year warranty and costed options for ten additional years of annual support renewals. The RFI seeks feedback on requirements, cost drivers, contract approach, delivery and implementation timing, and related technical matters. The industry briefing indicates an anticipated 18-month vendor delivery and installation period followed by six months of post-installation checkout and operations integration; the RFI response is an extension with responses due September 14, 2026.
