Description
The City of Deerfield Beach is soliciting sealed responses from qualified vendors for the rehabilitation or owner-authorized replacement of four existing 18-inch slanting-disc check valves on the discharge piping of the Clear Well Transfer Pumps at the Water Treatment Plant. The work includes isolating and removing the valves, disassembly and internal inspection, component rehabilitation or replacement, reassembly, reinstallation, field testing, and returning the equipment to service. A valid Florida Certified or Registered General Contractor license is required; no other primary contractor license classification will be accepted. Bidders must attend at least one of two mandatory pre-bid site visits and sign the attendance sheet. Attendance must be coordinated through the Procurement and Contract Administration Division, and attendees must provide their names in advance, present government-issued photo identification, remain escorted by plant staff, and comply with facility safety and personal protective equipment requirements. Each bid must include a bid guaranty equal to five percent of the bid amount. The original bid bond, or an original cashier's check as an acceptable alternative, must be delivered to the City's Procurement and Contract Administration Division by the submission deadline. Bids must be submitted electronically through the City's secure eProcurement mailbox; late bids will not be accepted.
