Description
West Ottawa Public Schools is soliciting sealed bids from specialty contractors for improvements to the existing Lakewood Elementary building. Bid categories include sitework, concrete, masonry, metals, general trades, metal roofing and metal panel systems, membrane roofing, caulking, aluminum storefronts and glazing, LPDA interior construction, flooring, painting, fire protection, mechanical, and electrical work. The project includes demolition, structural and interior renovations, new and modified building systems, finishes, and related construction services. The construction schedule runs from December 19, 2026, through August 6, 2027. Bids must be submitted in triplicate and accompanied by 5% bid security, a sworn and notarized familial disclosure, and an Iran Economic Sanctions Act compliance affidavit. The successful bidder must provide performance, labor, and material bonds covering 100% of the contract cost. Bidders must have at least 10 years of experience under their current company name and be licensed and insured in Michigan.
