Description
West Ottawa Public Schools is soliciting sealed bids in triplicate for improvements to the existing Lakewood Elementary School. Contractors may bid on one or more of 15 categories: sitework, concrete, masonry, metals, general trades, metal roofing and metal panel systems, membrane roofing, caulking, aluminum storefronts and glazing, LPDA, flooring, painting, fire protection, mechanical, and electrical work. The scope includes demolition, structural and architectural renovations, new and replacement building systems, finishes, site improvements, and related installation, testing, commissioning, and closeout work. Bids must include a 5% bid bond or other bid security, a sworn and notarized Familial Disclosure Statement, and an Iran Economic Sanctions Act compliance affidavit. Successful bidders must provide performance, labor, and material bonds covering 100% of the contract cost. Contractors must have at least 10 years of experience under their current company name and be licensed and insured to perform work in Michigan. Construction is scheduled from December 19, 2026, through substantial completion on August 6, 2027.
