Description
Western University is seeking proposals for the supply and installation of a driving simulator for its Faculty of Health Sciences. The simulator will support research involving driving safety, community mobility, clinical assessment of motor, cognitive, and sensory tasks, controlled and repeatable driving scenarios, pre-driving assessments, and performance-data collection. The solution must include an actual half-vehicle automotive cab with authentic automotive components; refurbished vehicle cabs are acceptable. The estimated project budget is CAD $320,800 plus HST. The scope includes equipment, delivery, installation, and training, with a requested three-year extended warranty. Proponents must address technical and functional requirements, service and support, sustainability, accessibility, experience and references, pricing, and value-added options. The agreement will continue until the equipment is received and the supplier's obligations are satisfied.
