Description
The City and Borough of Juneau is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to provide design services for replacement of an aging, undersized ductile iron water main along Glacier Highway between Ross Way and the Salmon Creek Water Filtration Plant. The scope includes evaluating future water demands and selecting the appropriate pipe size; designing the replacement distribution main and waterline crossings beneath Egan Drive; replacing deteriorated wastewater collection segments; preparing bid-ready construction plans, specifications, and construction estimates; and developing a technical pipe-sizing memorandum and two-season construction phasing plan. Additional services include field surveys and utility verification, right-of-way and easement research, permit and easement assistance, public and stakeholder coordination, design workshops, quality control, bid and award support, construction-phase design clarification, and assistance with state loan application documents if requested. Final bid-ready documents are due November 30, 2026. The proposal must be a letter-form response of no more than seven numbered pages, with resumes permitted as one-page-per-person appendices. Professional registration and applicable license or certification information must be addressed, and all electronic submittals must be uploaded as unlocked, unpassword-protected PDF files through the designated procurement portal.
