Description
The City and Borough of Juneau is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to provide professional engineering services for a water pipe slip-lining project within its water distribution system. The scope includes evaluating water-line renewal and replacement technologies, recommending suitable approaches for constrained sites, conducting field surveys and utility verification, and preparing area schematics, technical drawings, specifications, construction sequencing, cost estimates, and bid-ready construction documents. The consultant must provide design and bidding support, including assistance with bidder questions, pre-bid conference participation, addenda preparation, public-meeting support, resident outreach, permitting and easement assistance, and design clarification during construction. Deliverables include an alternatives evaluation by November 15, 2026, and 100% bid-ready drawings, specifications, and a construction estimate by December 30, 2026. The proposal is limited to seven numbered pages, with resumes permitted as appendices. Alaska professional registration and applicable surveyor licensing are required. The solicitation requires electronic PDF submission through the designated procurement portal.
